Dartmoor Arts Project: Bursary Awards for Artists, Art & Architecture Students

SUMMER SCHOOL BURSARY AWARDS FOR ARTISTS, ART & ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS 2015

Dartmoor Arts Project summer school - A brilliant week of in-depth creative practice plus a lively programme of artists talks in Drewsteignton, Dartmoor, Devon, UK.

Dartmoor Arts Project have bursaries on offer for places at our 2015 summer school and we particularly want to support artists, art & architecture students at the beginning of their careers and those artists with limited finances.

The summer school brings together over 120 people for a week of in-depth creative practice, discussion and sharing of ideas plus a fantastic evening programme of speakers including contemporary artists, writers, thinkers and performers. Students work on their projects by day and all come together in the evening for a meal followed by an artist talk. Exciting atmosphere and a chance to work out in the Dartmoor landscape.

Courses on offer at the 2015 summer school include:

Contemporary Photography & Landscape

Build Your Own Light Object

Body Morphing: Costume into Sculpture 

Natural Bronze Casting

Filming Natural Phenomena 

How to be Interesting 

Drawing:5 days, 5 Approaches 

Drawing into Painting 

Painting in the landscape 

Printmaking

Stone carving

We also offer an innovative Spatial Structures course which is the only hands on design and build week in the country.

Summer school students have the space to realize ambitious projects in our large workshop areas and have the chance to gain experience from others already established, practicing and exhibiting. Tutors this year include electronics & performance artist Paul Granjon, renowned film maker Andrej Zdravic, luted crucible bronze caster Piers Watson, contemporary photographers Sophy Rickett & Liz Orton and Kip Gresham from The Print Studio Cambridge - a full list on our website.
