As part of the residence obtained with the Ministry of Culture of Colombia through Taller 7, Ernesto Bautista (from The Fire Theory) and Lokkus Contemporary Art combine to present a first cycle of short projects since curatorships that present a serie of projects that coincide in memory processes, civil conflicts and above all, personal poetics that are framed in contexts such as Colombian, Salvadorean and could well be the reality of any country in Latin America .

'COGNITION' by Ernesto Bautista, presents a total of 4 pieces: two videos produced earlier: 'Torque' and 'Perpetual Rictus'; and two unpublished works: a video 'The Memory keeps going' and the installation that names the show 'Cognition'. In the words of Aline Hernandez: 'Within the vast rhetoric corpus produced about the cognitive processes, the most elemental, or that one that goes back to its etymological root, tells us that cognition, cognitio in Latin, means the art of reasoning, known through the exercise of mental faculties. However, the mental faculties are not acting per se but from a relationship with the perceptions that we receive from the outside, that means, sensations and it is through this complex relationship, that we can talk about knowledge processes. In this sense, human beings can be conceived not as a state but as a dynamic process that is constantly driven by the education of perception, thoughts and developing relationships with others and with the world.'

'ISSUES' is a sample of video integrated of 'Requiem' from Mauricio Kabistán, an extract of the video that talks ironically about the disappeared people on the civil war in El Salvador with its supposed climax finished at Peace Agreements on 1992; 'Untitled' by Melissa Guevara, registering a site specific project made in 2013 at the Cultural Center of Spain in El Salvador with white ground from high risk zones; 'All You Can ReFeel' of Victor Rodriguez, controversial piece in which the artist confronted the elections processes and the judicial system in El Salvador; 'Poetics of Death' from Ernesto Bautista, documentary video of the eviction of M .; Ending with the first screening ever on Colombia of the film of the salvadorean artist Jose David Herrera: 'TardeNoche' (LateNight).
