After busy days of installing and socializing, the final exhibition of STARTPOINT 2013 has been opened at DOX Center for Contemporary Art on Thursday, September 5th. The well-balanced quality of the participating artists did not make choosing the prize-winners easy, but the jury finally agreed on the following results:

The winner of StartPoint Prize 2013 is Matea Bakula, graduate of HKU Utrecht.

The honorary mentions of the jury went to Charlotte Dualé (KH Weissensee), Karen Kramer (Goldsmiths London), Jaakko Pallasvuo (KUVA Helsinki), Abigail Sidebotham (RCA London). The prize of the Czech Centres was awarded to Tereza Fišerová (VŠUP Praha).

We want to congratulate not only to the prize-winners, but to all the participants and to thank them all for helping to create another exceptional exhibition! And we look forward to working further with the awarded artists during the Started 2014 residency program!
