The Title Art Prize 2013 is an opportunity open to artists from across the UK. The prize offers visual artists working within any medium, concept or scale the chance to exhibit alongside the most exciting new talent in Britain today. Further to this, one Artist will receive a cash prize of £500 and a solo exhibition supported by Blank Media Collective.

In 2011, The Title Art Prize attracted a large number of submissions from artists which were whittled down to an exhibition shortlist by the Blank Media Collective team. The exhibition went on to prove an enormous success, attracting many visitors and featuring on the BBC News website. The winners were selected by a panel including Northern Art Prize winner Paul Rooney. First Prize went to Joe Doldon, who received £500 plus a solo exhibition supported by Blank Media Collective the following year in 2012.

In 2013, just like Blank Media Collective, The Title Art Prize will be bigger and better than before. In the two years since the last prize, Blank Media Collective has grown, changed with the times, refreshed and improved to offer more support, better, higher profile opportunities and stronger links with the creative community in the city, the region and nationally. The selected artists for the shortlist exhibition will not only have their work seen by a large number of art lovers, but also highly skilled professionals and experienced artists, who will make up the judging panel.
