Artists, submit your work for Round 4 by March 8.

Have your work seen and reviewed by Susan Inglett, gallerist,
limited edition print/multiple publisher and art fair founder.

Susan Inglett Gallery is located in the heart of Chelsea in a ground floor space at 522 West 24th Street. The gallery provides representation for a range of artists, emerging to established, working across media. Continuing a pattern established early in its history, the gallery consciously develops a program of surprising juxtapositions within and between exhibitions alternating between single artist shows, curated group exhibitions and historical exhibitions. Gallery artists have appeared recently in the Whitney Biennial, the Venice Biennale, the Carnegie International and Greater New York at P.S. 1 among many international venues.

In addition to the gallery, Susan Inglett produces prints and multiples as I.C. Editions, Inc. In 1998, Susan Inglett founded and continues to organize the Editions|Artists Book Fair, NYC.

ABOUT ARTVETTING.COM
Artvetting.com is introducing a new concept to the art world. An online forum where artists can access some of the critical market makers and taste makers who appreciate and understand the subtle workings that comprise the business of the art world. Each month we invite artists to register ($20 fee to cover costs) and upload five samples of their work plus a CV and 250 word artist statement. From these submissions we curate a group who will be vetted by an art world professional.

Round One was vetted by Hudson, owner of Feature Inc., gallery on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Known for his uncompromised championing of new art (Koons, Murakami and many others) Hudson's comments were described by the ten selected artists as instructive, insightful and generous.

Our second group received comments from Isaac Lyles from Derek Eller Gallery, who has curated the group shows, Perfectly Damaged in 2011 and 2012's Sweet Distemper.

Round Three is being vetted by Brian Clamp, gallerist and owner of Clampart, a gallery in New York City specializing in modern and contemporary art with an emphasis on photography, mounting ten to fifteen exhibitions per year featuring the work of emerging and mid-career artists.

Artvetting.com, founded by Lis Ivers (formerly director at Marianne Boesky Gallery, Matthew Marks Gallery and others) and Dan Peyton, photographer and collector, aims to reach out to artists at all levels in order to provide information about how their work is seen by the decision makers who can guide and nurture artistic talent. A resource for artists, collectors and curators, Artvetting.com will archive each group of work and over time create a critical mass of reviewed contemporary art. The site will feature this growing collection alongside the reviews from art world professionals plus blog entries, comments from the artists selected, a featured artists section and information not only about how art world professionals view and consider new art but more importantly how artists can access this challenging and sometimes exclusive world.
