Since 2006, Hors Pistes has pursued its passion for the contemporary moving images and their diversity. Screenings, performances, video, installations, and digital art: the event offers a varied and international selection of these creations. It showcases visual works investigating the world we live in by challenging narrative forms.

OPENING

On Friday the 18th of January, at 8pm, the opening evening presents a performance by the american artist Laura Heit. It will be followed at 9 pm by the exhibition vernissage at the lowest level of the Centre Pompidou.

SCREENINGS

Hors Pistes offers an international selection of artists who remap the borders between film genres (fiction, documentary, essay...) and whose innovative artistic approach left its mark on last year.
Each screening is dedicated to one artist, who presents his very last film as well as some of his previous works. We have the pleasure to present films of Lucien Castaing-Taylor and Verena Paravel, Erik Bullot, Alex Pou, Ben Rivers, Sarah Vanagt, Barry Doupé, Raphaël Siboni and Fabien Giraud, Gaëlle Boucand, Justin Bennett, Luke Fowler, Go Shibata, Redmond Entwistle, Denis Savary, Anthony Gross, Marie Reinert, Stephan Lugbauer, Beatrice Gibson, Matias Meyer, Libia Castro and Olafur Olafsson, Yuri Ancarani, Amanda Trager and Erik Moskowitz, …

EXHIBITION

At the lowest level of the Centre Pompidou, Hors Pistes offers this year an exhibition on the theme of the miniature, to explore its relation to moving image. Little monuments and dioramas, knick-knacks and narrative models play with scales until bringing illusion and confusion. This exhibition will present Jennifer and Kevin McCoy, David Guez, Mohamed Bourouissa, Cécile babiole, Teri Wehn Damisch and Olga Kisseleva.
