The Self Portrait Experience® method allows anyone to trigger the creative process from their inner world and to learn how to transform their emotions into art through photography.

Cristina Nuñez (Figueres, 1962), an artist whose work has been exhibited internationally since 1994, is the creator and the main facilitator of the method, which she teaches successfully in many artistic institutions (museums, galleries and centers photography) as well as therapeutic contexts (prisons, mental health centers, rehab centers, schools of art therapy) and companies.

Nuñez holds an average of 25 workshops per year as a therapeutic self-portrait facilitator according to the method The Self-Portrait Experience®: a new profession constantly evolving, with surprising results especially in times of crisis.

The training course The Self-Portrait Experience® comes from Nuñez's desire to divulge her method as much as possible, training professionals not only to apply it in different contexts, but also to enrich it with their own personal skills. In this way, the method will evolve creatively, responding to the needs of human beings.

The course includes the introduction- to experience the method on oneself, the first part, to understand in-depth all aspects of the method and to pursue a photographic journey through one's life, and the second part, to learn how to apply the method on others and to use it in a creative way. The last stage includes an internship with the supervision of the artist.

At the end of the training course, participants will receive a certificate and a bibliography, lecture notes, contacts and useful information to start their career as therapeutic self-portrait facilitators.

Target: artists, photographers, educators, psychologists, therapists, 'seekers,' people who wish to use art for social purposes.
