28/8–23/9 2012 Tuesdays 17–18 Artist talk in the exhibition. 18–20 Seminar The exhibition in Husby Konsthall is open Tuesday–Sunday from 12-17. The exhibition in the Studio at Moderna Museet is open Tuesday 10–20, Wednesday–Sunday 10–18.

Welcome to the first seminar in the series Performances, Dialogues and Affirmations. A series of seminars on art and community building in connection with the exhibition Performing the Common at Husby Konsthall.

Participants in the first seminar are Sofia Wiberg (researcher Urban Studies KTH) Shiva Anoushirvani (artist), Bahman Motaei (Radio Peyvand), Rouzbeh Djalaie (Norra Sidan), Greta Weibull (artist), Karin Hansson (artist), Paula Uimonen & Aron Larsson (researchers at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, DSV, Stockholm University).

Johanna Gustafsson Fürst about the seminar: 'What meanings of a place does the images in the media create? Who takes place in social networks on the Internet? Based on the participants' different perspectives the question of new and traditional media's impact on place and identity is highlighted. The starting point is the mediation of of the Stockholm suburb Husby and an art exhibition that revolves around questions of space, representation and performativity. '
