Hotel de Inmigrantes - Cosmopolitan Stranger

'Hotel de Inmigrantes' is an international art project of curator Tomasz Wendland. In cooperation with artist Koen Vanmechelen, the expo travels to Hasselt under the subtitle 'Cosmopolitan Stranger', as a Parallel Event for Manifesta 9.

In Vanmechelen's studio, the Open University of Diversity, 40 international artists will live like real immigrants for one week, from the 2nd of June till the 7th of June.

This week is filled with an interesting program; headliners are the Speakers Corner on the 5th of June and a conference with international speakers on the 7th of June in the university of Hasselt.

An expo will be build up with what the 'immigrants' leave behind and the documentation material of the whole process.

Visit the expo from the 2nd of June till the 31st of August (Free Entrance).
