To coincide with the current exhibition, Mary McIntyre - A Contemporary Sublime, the MAC are launching MAC Artists Editions. This is a chance to own a work by one of the exhibiting artists at an affordable price.
The first edition is from McIntyre's 'Veil' series which is currently on display in the Tall Gallery at the MAC. McIntyre's images explore elements of natural phenomena and our perceptions of them. By photographing in very specific weathers, such as mist and fog, she produces documents of that which is intangible. In these images, the landscape itself, the supposed 'site' of the work, is rendered unknowable; it becomes an absent subject.
