Philippe
PASQUA

Philippe Pasqua has successfully established himself in the world of contemporary art as a prominent plastic artist: his work is so striking that the observer cannot forget it or pass it by without stopping to view the canvasses and drawings of the one referred to as the 'Enraged,' 'Unclassifiable,' 'Ineffable.'
What is this humanity which is conveyed to us and upon which we gaze? Mystery is the attribute of Philippe Pasqua's work, which gives the observer but rare clues to shed light on the secret of his art. The painting is generous, with broad, arching, and rapid strokes. The vitality of the lines applies to its opposite: a fixed art, the art of portraiture. The artist pounches upon the canvass, a brush in each hand, and embarks upon a wild choreography, painting faces, bodies, and expressions.

The first event worthy of note is
25 October 2012
at The Storage

The exhibition event Work In Progress will take place at The Storage, a location designed by Philippe Pasqua and devoted to innovative collective artistic experimentation, as well as to his own work. Exhibition and storage space, exhibition workshop and hall, and sculpture garden: The Storage is at once all that.
A new series of previously unexhibited paintings called Aora will be unveiled on the eve of the exhibition.
Located in the nearby Paris suburbs, The Storage is devoted to contemporary creation in all its forms: contemporary art, design, new technologies, photography, and architecture… thus appealing to a diversity of audiences.
It is an immense exhibition space with airy volumes, making it possible to give due emphasis to each piece of work. A magnificent garden enhances the exhibition with the artist's works made in Carrara. The Storage will soon usher in a new phase with a schedule of meetings, exhibitions, and events.

26-29 October
Toronto
Toronto Art Fair

The 2012 edition of the Toronto Art Fair promises to be grandiose: occupying its largest space ever, the Fair has invited 23 countries to partake in the event, with 20,000 collectors and the biggest names in current contemporary art.
It is at this this first-rate international fair that Philippe Pasqua's works have been shown, which underscores the fair's prominent position on the international contemporary art scene. See you on 26-29 October!

15 November
Tel-Aviv
Zemack Gallery

Tel-Aviv is a city which has undergone an intense metamorphosis in just a few years to become a place of a thousand facets, now integrated into the world art circuit. The Zemack Gallery shows Philippe Pasqua in Tel-Aviv. The gallery, created fifteen years ago, opted to show both emerging artists and confirmed contemporary artists in Israel and abroad. The gallery will present a solo-show of Pasqua starting on 15 November.

And in 2013, Philippe Pasqua will continue his Asia circuit in Hong Kong for the ART HK fair from 23 to 26 May, and especially in March at Art Revolution Taipei in Taiwan. This is the third edition of A.R.T. (A.R.T. 2013) to confirm his success and which is destined to play a prominent role on the international art scene. A.R.T. will devote a 200-m2 stand to Philippe Pasqua as a contemporary French artist. He will be on exhibit alongside Jeff Koons for the United States, Damien Hirst for England, and Takashi Murakami for Japan, thereby confirming the artist's international standing and his place among the most famous contemporary artists.
