Show Off 2012: Digital and Video Art Fair

For its 7th edition, SHOW OFF gets out of its tent and takes the chance to change its original concept in order to develop a new format.

In days when new technologies are part of the everyday life, SHOW OFF notes and presents an overview of the current digital creation.
The critic and curator of new media, Dominique Moulon, suggests SHOW OFF an insight of the emergent artistic practice.

In its seventh edition, SHOW OFF will take place from October 17th through October 21st, 2012, during Paris's annual contemporary art week, in two areas with an idyllic situation in the heart of the artistic effervescence of Marais (7, rue des Filles du Calvaire and 7, rue Froissart 75003 Paris)

SHOW OFF launches its online Digital and video art fair, in order to emphasize these specials works in a market that constantly evolves. This event will be a window for young artists, it will be the occasion to raise issues that are linked with this artistic practice through a talk's cycle.

Aware that the galleries suffer from the current climate, SHOW OFF develops an easy and affordable system with an International visibility in order to help galleries facing the crisis. SHOW OFF with FLUMOTION (the worldwide leader of video streaming) launches an online secure video platform which will be a safe sale tool.

Finally, this year again DROPSTUFF.nl will settle its mobile screen of sixty square meters during this SHOW OFF LAB, 2 rue Eugène Spuller 75003 Paris. It will preview some of its unique works developing artistic games that can be controlled via motion of your own body
