' Typical, or relatively accepted definitions that are trying to frame differences between art and decorative arts, art and industry, art and science, or art and goods do not stand anymore. No set of oppositions or specifications is relevant, no matter if it originates with the author, or is linked to functionality, usefulness, sponsor, use or users.
Here is a territory being redefined and generating mutations that are just about becoming visible but are nevertheless afoot. Art in its process, 'useful' arts in their evolution are now less about producing artefacts than the creation of life systems that both encompass the meaning of the user's role and the functionality in its full meaning. This question has been a focal point for the recent history of art (…)'.
