Brooklyn College offers a two year M.F.A. program including concentrations in drawing and painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital art. Students may focus in any of these concentrations or work experimentally across media areas. The program includes both course work and independent study with reviews by the entire faculty in the first three semesters and a thesis exhibition in the final term.
Facilities include individual and shared studios, computer labs, department library, and student gallery.
The program is augmented by a strong, student centered, visiting artist program and proximity to New York City museums and galleries.
Full time studio faculty includes Archie Rand, Vito Acconci, Janet Carlile, Patricia Cronin, Karin Giusti, Ronaldo Kiel, Jennifer McCoy, Georgeen Comerford, and Douglas Schwab.
