The globalization with the capitalism arrived to the cities of Latin America to change the way of life.

One of the phenomenons has been the expansion of big International and multinational companies, the arrival of products along with their publicity campaigns on every single media had a significant impact on the population, therefore we have MacDonald, Burger King, Adidas, Nike, etc, in almost every corner of the day life in México. The products that we watched on TV became objects of desire.

However their prices are too expensive in a market where the local economy is low, they became almost luxury objects, symbol of the rich and middle high class.

From there, this phenomenon of imitation, reproduction, piracy that decrease the prices and brought a new way of commerce, the so called 'illegal commerce' markets raised on the streets, people built their own booths with imitation products coming from Asia and some made here.

This new way of survived led to a new imaginary development and creativity, first the copy then to an hybrid where we can see some particular forms and creations to sell and distribute the products.

' My interest is in this appropriation of the international marks, publicity, brands and products. In the form that the small business deal against the global market, the ways they developed such a structures, signs and images created to announce their objects for sell, the murals outside their houses inspired by the TV, newspapers and magazines. I will try myself to survive the system '.
