E-CULTURE FAIR 2011: GARDEN OF E-

connecting culture, creativity, research and technology

16 & 17 NOVEMBER 2011 - ETHIAS ARENA, HASSELT

The E-CULTURE FAIR 2011 is a showcase of Flemish innovative projects resulting from collaborations in culture, creative industries, research and education. This GARDEN OF E- focuses on a variety of e-projects concerning digital heritage, user participation, gamification, edutainment, the Internet-of-Things, open-source collaboration and innovation, etc. The set-up of the fair – with installations, prototypes, demos, live presentations and living lab experiences – encourages encounters, exchange and future collaborations between Flemish and international creatives, artists, researchers, designers, platforms and institutions.

The E-CULTURE FAIR is aimed at anyone and everyone who is curious about the digital culture of today and tomorrow. It is a unique opportunity to discover and try out projects, and to meet developers, project managers and designers.

ECF 2011 is organized by support organizations working in the arts in Belgium (BAM, VTi, MCV, VAi) in coproduction with Flanders DC, IBBT and Z33, as a partner event of the Creativity World Forum which is organized by Flanders DC. ECF 2011 is supported by the Flemish Authorities: the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports and Media, and the Department of Economy, Science and Innovation.
