Fortsetzung folgt. Eine Serie zur Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Niederösterreich
To Be Continued. A Series on Public Art in Lower Austria

with Anna Artaker, Catrin Bolt, Daniel Domig, Die Heimwehtropfen, Nicolas Mahler, Motmot and tat ort

In the last 12 years around 400 highly varied works, installations and interventions have been completed in the public space of Lower Austria. A book on this public art is published every two to three years to provide an overview of and in-depth information on the most recently completed of these projects. In conjunction with the presentation of volume 9 in this series, an exhibition is on show at the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich.

Seven artists have been invited to select an existing project in the public space of Lower Austria, and to 'continue' — either in terms of content or in formal terms — this project for the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich with a new work of their own. In doing so, the artists are being commissioned to complete a work on the interface between outside and inside while also drawing the attention of visitors to the show from an interior situation to an outdoor one.

The selected artists (who work with comics, graphic design, music etc.) do not only provide new perspectives on the individual projects but also on public art in general, and should render the broad intrinsic potential for a continuing dialogue with the existing works visible.
