aut. architektur und tirol
> The Park Tells Stories
Sound installation
Sat 27 June 2009, 6.00 pm
Venue: platform at Waltherpark
Hosts: aut. architektur und tirol and columbosnext

In the Waltherpark, where last year the platform Ich will an den Inn . . . (I want to go to the Inn) was built, columbosnext is presenting a multivocal sound installation in collaboration with aut. architektur und tirol. With selected texts, poems, quotes, and music, they are inviting visitors to hear the park differently. A tonal space stretches along the river. Variously arranged transmission points invite passers-by, park-users, cyclists, walkers, and the curious to follow the auditory traces that thematically take up the city, the park, the river, and the public space. An acoustic-image trip in which the physical city space can be left and then rediscovered.

FO.KU.S Foto Kunst Stadtforum
> Michael Schuster: Autofocusfalle
Interactive Photographic Installation
Sat 27 June 2009, 5.00 pm
Venue: FO.KU.S – Foto Kunst Stadtforum

A camera, a trip, and images almost in real time. The photographer hides behind a technical apparatus that makes his personal presence unnecessary and abandons the viewer to the multiplicity of possible relations in the triangular relationship of model, photographer, and viewer. „I am eye. I am a mechanical eye. I, a machine, am showing you a world, the likes of which only I can see.' Dziga Vertov
Michael Schuster (born in 1956 in Graz) lives and works in Graz. Through media-analytical work, his practice deals with the perception and reproduction of reality in relation to various media, such as photography. His works are characterized by a very precise conception and construction as well as self-irony.

GALERIE BERND KUGLER
> Patrycja German: 1, 2, 3, 4
Sat 27 June 2009, 3.00 pm
Venue: Galerie Bernd Kugler, Burggraben 6/II (Hörtnaglpassage)

The performances of the Polish artist Patrycja German (born in 1979 in Wroclaw) research the natural distance behavior of humans and reactions to situations that demand necessary proximity: to what extent do I want—or may I—get close to the artist? Where does necessity end and sensuality begin? Through simple and sure gestural directions, Patrycja German invites the public to open themselves up to an encounter in a temporally and spatially distinct frame.

GALERIE IM TAXISPALAIS
> Marlene Haring
Sat 27 June 2009, 11.45 am
Venue: Galerie im Taxispalais, Maria-Theresien-Straße 45

In her performances and interactions, Marlene Haring (born in Vienna in 1978) works with the construction of given spatial or social conditions. She deals with and intervenes in site-specific rules and conventions that determine relations and behavior. These stretch from installations in a kitchen or tanning salon to using Nivea cream for white monochrome paintings on mirrors to services such as secret service and sucking marks $10. She bathes in a fountain that was built for Mussolini, but which he never visited, licks the windows of a gallery during a formal brunch, shoots 100 rolls of film and does not develop them, and, with 'Show me yours, and I'll show you mine,' she demands of exhibition visitors to reveal their genitals to her.

GALERIE ELISABETH & KLAUS THOMAN
> Julia Bornefeld: Alpenliebe – Grundlos glücklich
Fr 26 June 2009, 7.30 pm
Venue: Maria-Theresien-Straße, northern part

Grundlos glücklich - an investigation of various perceptions of happiness.
Happiness as a fleeting, emotional, subjective phenomenon.
A container forms a temporary exhibition site in public space.
The container, generally present in everyday life as a living, transport, and storage element, is intended to symbolize the constant transformation of social processes. Through optical means, the container will be externally treated; the outer skin reflects the contents of the installations in the interior of the container.
Julia Bornefeld, born in 1963 in Kiel, lives in Bruneck and Kiel.

GALERIE JOHANN WIDAUER
> Matt Mullican: Lecture on my performance work
Sat 27 June 2009, 4.00 pm
Venue: Galerie Johann Widauer, Erlerstraße 13

In connection with the exhibition at Galerie Johann Widauer, Matt Mullican will speak about his performances on June 27, 2009, at 4 pm. One of the extraordinary qualities of Matt Mullican's works is the continuity with which he positions each of his pieces within
his overall artistic scheme.
The experimental investigation of his own unconscious has played an important role in the creation of his works since the end of the 1970s. In the studio works as well as in his public appearances and lectures performed under hypnosis, Mullican repeatedly exposes himself to a modified state of consciousness in order to activate behaviors and experiences that exclude external stimuli.

KÜNSTLERHAUS BÜCHSENHAUSEN
> Michael Hieslmair: Alpine Remix – Stages and Touristic Theme Parks
> Isidora Ilić: Voices_Gazes_Traces
Sat 27 June 2009, 7.30 pm
Venue: Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen, Weiherburggasse 13

In a spatial audio installation by Michael Hieslmair, a series of case studies on the winter (mass) tourism destinations in Tyrol are presented. Within the framework of performIC, there will take place a guided tour and a performative investigation through the audio installation and the 'research space.'
Michael Hieslmair works on projects and exhibitions dealing with the influence of mobility on architecture and landscaping, as well as on the transfer of culture in socio-spatial transformation processes.
In her work, Isidora Ilić makes use of practices from experimental film, performance art, and art theory. Her project Writing the Female Film intends to sound out the possibilities of constructing another kind of filmmaking that might produce a feminine film. Within the framework of performIC, Ilić will present Voices_Gazes_Traces, a film produced in Büchsenhausen that deals with this field.

KUNSTPAVILLON
> kozek hörlonski feat. Red Ruby: blacknightlightwhite
Performance: Fr 26 June 2009, 9.30 pm
Installation: Fr 26 June 2009, 2.00 pm – 10.30 pm, 27 June 2009, 11.00 am – 5.00 pm
Venue: Kunstpavillon der Tiroler Künstlerschaft, Rennweg 8a

In their works, kozek hörlonski connect opposing categories, media, and terms so that they blend into one another and can be determined as relational. In their simultaneously visually installational and temporally performative works, movement and standstill, time and space, light and dark converge. (Rainer Fuchs)
The Innsbruck Hofgarten forms the basis for a performative installation developed by kozek hörlonski for the Kunstpavillon.
The park, which is protected as a historical monument, has transformed over the centuries from a wetlands into a renaissance and baroque garden, and finally into its present form as an English garden. In their 'staging,' the artists pick up on such stylistic features of the park as well as the nighttime activities and processes in the systematic and goal-oriented nocturnal search for sex.
kozek hörlonski are Thomas Hörl (born 1975 in Hallein) and Peter Kozek (born 1972 in Baden b. Vienna), both live in Vienna.

medien.kunst.tirol
> Sara Glaxia: ARTRAT
Fr 26 June 2009, 6.30 pm
Venue: Kunstraum Innsbruck, Maria-Theresien-Straße 34, Arkadenhof

Glancing viciously thought the window of madness, the putrefactive looks stare
Popping deranged ideas from ephemeral emotions
Derogatory and insipid the furious bunny claws down the curtains stage
Delusive as the other stumbles with an upside down chair
They brake the gums against the carpet and stairs
Like angry babies crawl as another on the fingers steps
Everybody try to run out, to get save from the bunny's rage
But the music starts out loud and boom boom speakers shake
Everyone dances, specially the pig with the fine blue dress
Twisting and turning around the dance floor spreads its legs
Then all the other animals in a circle grab their sweaty dirty hands

> Tatsumi Orimoto: Punishment
Fr 26 June 2009, 8.30 pm
Venue: Domplatz, Altstadt
Hosts: Kunstraum Innsbruck und medien.kunst.tirol
Thanks to Dompfarre St. Jakob and the Arbeitskreis KUNSTRAUM KIRCHE

Twenty-six people are blindfolded and bound to poles each with a box containing bread around their neck. Following a signal, each person collapses one after the other, and the bread falls to the ground. The performance refers to a historical event: in 1597, twenty-six Christian missionaries were crucified in Nagasaki by the government. With the help of historical references, Orimoto is determined to present a universal fact: as prophet of a new message the bread-bearer is seen as a threat to the established system, rejected and martyred.

STADTGALERIE SCHWAZ
> Michele di Menna
So 28 June 2009, 4.00 pm
Venue: Silberbergwerk Schwaz / Schwaz Silver Mine, Alte Landstraße 3a, 6130 Schwaz

The Canadian artist Michele Di Menna (born in 1980, lives and works in Berlin) will show a performance for the Stadtgalerie Schwaz in the silver mine. The artist's works concentrate on an intuitive dialogue between modern gender positions and archaic rites. The halfhour-long journey into the mine becomes itself a rite of initiation into the performance.
The artist describes it thus: 'Amidst dark cavernous depths a performance smeltered
from the mine...'

3.00 pm in front of the Ferdinandeum: departure of the shuttle bus to Schwaz
Duration: approx. 2 hours, maximum capacity: 80 persons
afterwards drinks at the Knappenkuchl, restaurant of the Schwaz Silver Mine
Return via shuttle bus, Silberbergwerk – Innsbruck, 7.30 pm
Registration: office@stadtgalerieschwaz.at

TIROLER LANDESMUSEUM FERDINANDEUM
> H+T Stegmayer: sleeping artists | fetish – collecting
Video installation and performance
So 28 June 2009, 2.00 pm
Venue: Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum, Museumstraße 15, project room

The German artist couple H+T Stegmayer works with video, sculpture, and video sculpture.
Their video trilogy sleeping artists | fetish – collecting (completed in 2007) presents the opportunity for reflection on image questions, filmic means, the representation of content, and mechanisms of reception, as well as questions on presentation and museal strategies for preserving ephemeral art forms—such as performance and happenings.
Hannah Stegmayer (born in 1960), art theoretician, lives and works in Kiefersfelden, Vienna, and Berlin.
Toni Stegmayer (born in 1957), sculptor and video artist, lives in Kiefersfelden.
