CALL FOR ARTISTS !

Invitation for a international Sculptural Pleinair
and information about the Gustav Seitz Prize

From 2 to 16 August, Schloß Trebnitz will be holding a two-week German-Polish Pleinair-Meeting. This year, the meeting is aimed at sculptors and is devoted to the subject 'The Human Figure.' An independent jury, consisting of academics and representatives of Polish and German art institutions, will award 8 stipends, worth 500 EUR, within one month after the application deadline. The selected artists are invited to Schloß Trebnitz to work on three-dimensional works in materials, such as bronze, stone, wood, and ceramics. The main focus of the meeting will be on figurative contemporary sculpture. The artistic results will be presented at the grand opening of the accompanying exhibition at Schloß Trebnitz on 16 August 2014. A detailed, bilingual catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition. The Pleinair Meeting is organised in close cooperation with the Gustav Seitz Foundation in Hamburg. The artistic results of the meeting will be presented to the board of the Seitz Foundation, who will award the Gustav Seitz Prize, worth 5.000 EUR, for one exceptional figurative work.

We would like to invite artists / sculptors to participate in this special meeting!
