As a spatial practice, scenography transforms any environment into a theatrical experience. As a staging strategy it influences the interplay between performance and spectator. It has expanded its field far outside the theatre space. Scenography is all around us. In the MA Programme Scenography you will find a focus on cross-disciplinary work as well as an experimental approach to research within a vivid learning community of students from all over the world.

MA programme Scenography gives their students plenty of space to put artistic practice centre stage. Different modes of presentation are extensively explored. We share through encounters with professionals with diverse artistic practices. The in-depth development of creative and intellectual capabilities is put into context through tutorials, debates, seminars, feedback sessions. In this environment practice also becomes a place to reflect.

The MA Programme Scenography is designed for visual artists, theatre designers/makers, light designers, multimedia artists and architects who have just completed their Bachelor's degree or who have already been working as professionals for several years at Bachelor's level and are capable of conducting artistic research independently.

The MA Programme Scenography is a Master of Fine Art and Design. It's a full-time, English-language course, in which 120 credits are distributed over two academic years.
