PICTURE BERLIN is a hybrid program founded in 2009 by artists for artists. Heading into its 8th year PICTURE BERLIN, offers two residency sessions designed for emerging artists working in contemporary art and photography. PICTURE BERLIN is a network designed and built around each session's artists. The strategy of the program is the lack of separation between studio practice, critiques, and shared meals. Every experience informs and builds on the next. The Summer Session dates for 2017 are 30 June - 13 August.

A combination of a rigorous studio practice combined with integration into the Berlin art scene is the basis for the Summer Session. The dynamic programming offers lectures by Berlin based artists, one-on-one discussions with over 10 international artists and curators, multiple exhibitions, group meals, in-progress work reviews, studio visits, a curatorial marathon, and artist walks.

The Fall Session (27 October - 5 November) is a condensed daily intensive 10-day professional practices program focused on networking with the international PICTURE BERLIN community at large by way of portfolio reviews, a coaching session, artist studio visits in addition to exposure to the Berlin art scene from the back door by arts professionals working and living in Berlin.
Don't miss the chance to be a part of the international PICTURE BERLIN community. The downloadable application is open to artists everywhere. Check our website for further information about the program and a detailed explanation of program fees: www.pictureberlin.org
