PICA sits among Australia's most respected centres for the development and presentation of contemporary arts. It boasts one of the largest and most breath-taking exhibition spaces in the country and has become known for the leading role it plays in the presentation of significant new work.

The Senior Curator will be responsible for the development and management of PICA's Visual Arts programs. This is a key artistic and management position within the organisation and the successful applicant will work closely with the PICA Director to realise a number of major new initiatives aimed at furthering the depth, breadth and impact of PICA's artistic programming. This senior management role offers significant responsibility and a diverse, in depth engagement with the Australian and international contemporary arts sector.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrable knowledge of and passion for current contemporary art practices, at least five years curatorial experience at a senior management level, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to drive and manage a dynamic artistic program.

Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum (plus superannuation)
