The 'Landschaftskunst' has been newly positioned within the Institute of Fine Arts and Media Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Since October 2014 the department has been headed by Paul Petritsch (Six & Petritsch), with a focus on artistic approaches to landscape and public space. The degree course runs for eight semesters and includes the Central Artistic Course as well as electives in crafts, theory, and a variety of media-related practices.
Student requirements: interest in the socio-economic and cultural context of landscape; individual ideas combined with a readiness to develop strategies of art and research in various media and disciplines.
Entrance Examination
The next entrance examination for the year 2016/17 will take place from February 22 to February 26, 2016. The application process is : portfoliopreliminary selection is made on the basis of each candidate's portfolio three-day entrance examination conducted at the department. Finally, on March 4, 2016, the examination committee posts a list of the results at the University.
