10th Anniversary of fotoK
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of fotoK we turn the fotoK [2] gallery into a laboratory. In 2004 fotoK was founded as a platform and a photography center in Vienna now represented by a school for photography, a gallery, an OFF space, a studio, projects, publications and a lot of persons, for whom photography is a most exciting medium. After ten years we wanted to celebrate our jubilee with a special exhibition - but which pictures were to be chosen? Uncountables of them have been created and more than 70 exhibitions have delivered just a small insight. All those resulting photographies are built on the basis of the lively process that is in the foreground of fotoK. Therefore we transfer our long-serving development machine Jobo ATL 2 plus for a guest performance to the gallery. Visitors are invited to bring around their exposed films, get them developped and place them at disposal serving as exhibition objects during those two weeks.
If there is an aura of NOW and HERE in photography its inherent to the NEGATIVE.
