PATRICK DEKEYSER – CANTIQUE
Dekeyser's videos are at the same time comic and burlesque. Cantique is a mute portrait, the sentences substitute themselves to the musicality of a song, by the singer Claire Bergerault. His polyptych proposes a polyphonic transcription of a body by the pure tone and her modulations.
GUILLAUME MARY - SURFACE DU REEL
Mary's works on the question of memory, the gap between the correctness of the forms and the subjectivity inherent to all human experience. His subtle compositions give, in the most authentic possible way, impressions of the past by a kind of sedimentation of the look. The colour here returns washed, ghostly and spectral, forms are deliberately ill-defined.
BENJAMIN SWAIN - JE SUIS VIVANT
The visceral dimension is very strong in Swain's paintings which have followed a more expressionist path for some time. The colours, the relationships between colours and the mark of the line are essential here. His sculptures are bodies at the same time dead and alive, sexual and dying. It is about fragments in the double sense of the partial object (desire) and remains or the organic waste (death).
