The fourth of five exhibitions of the project FM-Scenario – The Listener's Voice, by Eran Schaerf, will open in the Museum für Konkrete Kunst in Ingolstadt. This intermedial project uses the internet as a place of production in order to generate content for further media—concretely: radio broadcast, exhibition, and publication. The project's starting point lies in Eran Schaerf's newscast radio plays from 1997 to 2011 and in new texts.

For the current exhibition, „FM-Scenario: Place Translator', artist Peter Steckroth was invited to assemble a montage that in turn served as Eran Schaerf's blueprint for the installation in the Museum für Konkrete Kunst.

Using the museum's collection as a starting point, Eran Schaerf makes a link between Concrete Art, which utilizes forms and colors as a utopian artistic language, and his practice within FM-Scenario. On the one hand, this link is characterized by an a-hierarchy in space and language, which can be observed in the square, a shape with sides of equal length, or the cube, a directionless space, as well as in the arrangement of audio tracks in the FM-Scenario online studio or in the ordering of the objects that are set in each of the project's exhibitions. On the other hand, this link consists of a tensive field not unlike the field of tension between the order and chance intrinsic to a throw of the dice, or between the programming and unpredictability of radio formats.

Bayerischer Rundfunk will broadcast Peter Steckroth's audio montage on September 13, 2013, at 9:03 p.m. on Bayern2 as part of the program hör!spiel!art.mix, after which a podcast of the program is available for download at www.hoerspielpool.de , where previous montages as well as other programs associated with FM-Scenario are already available.
