The Node Online Program was established in Berlin in 2011, in response to a growing demand from the international community for a platform to discuss and examine curatorial practices.

The program uses effective tools to enable international exchange and training for students in the contemporary art context within a Virtual Learning Environment, facilitating rich interaction through multimedia material, video-conferences and discussion forums.

AVAILABLE COURSES:

//01. Art vs Law: An Inherent Conflict?

This course will provide a better understanding of issues concerning certain forms of contemporary art and copyright law, specifically topics related to appropriation, contractual issues and moral rights.

Duration: 15th November - 6th December 2011
Application Deadline: 12th November 2011

//02. Art & Economy: Insider tips for funding and grant applications

In this 3-week workshop, we will learn how to approach grant applications in a logical and sensible way with hands-on exercises such as budget, time management, and evaluation criteria. In addition, we will take a closer look of the 'value' concept in relation to art and politics today, with international examples of creative strategies in North America, Brazil, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

This workshop is for artists and curators who want to apply for scholarships or grants for their creative projects. We will analyze different types of open call announcement and the stakeholders' objectives. We will go over real applications step by step to further guide our students with their own applications.
