8th Edition Zona Maco, Mexico's Contemporary Art Fair

ZonaMaco Mexico Arte Contemporaneo will hold its eighth edition from April 6th to 10th in Mexico City (Centro Banamex, Hall D). ZonaMaco is Mexico and Latin America's premier contemporary art fair, which year by year has cemented its place among top international art fairs. The fair plays host to more than 30,000 visitors including everyone one from art students to collectors, museum specialists, curators, artists and the general public.

ZonaMaco 2011 will present more than 90 contemporary art galleries from 20-plus countries,representing more than 900 artists. The participating galleries will be split between the Main Section, for well established galleries representing mid-career artist, and the New proposals section, for young galleries representing emerging artist; these galleries are chosen by a selection committee formed by important national and international gallerists.

For the third consecutive year, the world renowned curator Adriano Pedrosa will present ZonaMaco SUR, a unique section of individual artists projects specially for the fair by artists from the southern hemisphere in conjunction with their galleries.

For this time, ZonaMaco will present the ZonaMaco DESIGN setion, a pavillion inside the fair dedicated to national and international design galleries.

Once again, our International Collector's Program will be filled with interesting social and cultural activities such as visits to museums, private collections and artist's studios, dinner parties, as well as unique architectural tours of Mexico City. In addition, guest will have complimentary VIP access to the fair.
