'Representing the Nation' is a project specially prepared for the ITCA 2008 in cooperation with the National Gallery in the Czech Republic.


The work is based on results from research addressing regional public art museums, for the most part established in 1950s' and 1960s' in Czechoslovakia, today existing as the Association of Czech Galleries.


Materialized as a reader, the publication include interviews and statements from the museum directors. Compensation Portraits introduce issues relating to institutional practices in the Czech Republic and Central Europe.
